… And in Belize City, Kevin Hendy is gunned down
And the third murder victim is a thirty-five year old man who was gunned down on Central American Boulevard at about seven p.m. Monday night. After playing a card game, Kevin Hendy, a resident of Central American Boulevard, stepped up to a black car and according to residents a large volume of shots were heard spraying into the night. A single gunshot to the left side of the face killed Kevin Hendy. He fell on the sidewalk with his head split open from the wound. The gunmen drove off and escaped.
Hendy has had a string of incidents with the law. A relative says that there have been at least six attempts on his life. One of the recent attempts occurred on Sunday, September twenty-third, 2007. Hendy was in the company of Curlin “Cluck Cluck” Felix under a bus stop on Central American Boulevard when a lone gunman approached them and opened fire. While the men ran, Felix fell in the drain and was shot five times and one bullet caught Hendy in his leg. In that case, eighteen year old Cassian Bennett of Faber’s Road had been charged for the murder of Curlin Felix and was also charged with attempted murder, grievous harm, use of deadly means of harm upon Kevin Hendy. But that was not the last of Hendy in the news. On October third, 2007 Hendy was accused of threatening twenty-five year old Austin Stevens of Jane Usher Boulevard. Hendy and Keith Middleton allegedly pulled a weapon on Stevens and threatened to kill him for being an informer and a snitch. Hendy witnessed Felix’s death and that may be a motive for his death. Lloyd Carr, who was sitting and playing a card game with Hendy, remembered him as a boy.

“Okay, but you can’t say what that is?”
Insp. Sinquest Martinez
“There were some gun pellets from the gun in some of the walls of the building. We have one person detained at this moment and we’re looking to two other persons who could assist us in this investigation because of previous misunderstanding they had. So we are looking at that, we are looking at the other misunderstanding, and like you mentioned, pertaining to Curlin Felix, we are looking at that likewise.”
