Sections of miles 8 and 9 under water

And in respect of the high waters, we reported last night that the flooding has reached miles twenty and twenty-one on the Northern Highway and tonight there is another area that is being affected by the waters. Mile nine on the Western Highway is now over flowing with flood waters that have been making their way from the west of the country. The water is making travel on the highway a challenge and drivers are again advised to use extreme caution on this particular section.

NEMO is reporting that the waters are also rising at mile eight and that the streets are underwater. Residents are being asked to move to shelters and motorists are advised not to enter the area.
