Wilhelm Leslie charged for years of carnally knowing a girl
There are two heinous crimes against children to report tonight. In the first case, a Ladyville man who had been in police custody since Friday night was finally charged with two counts of carnal knowledge. And because of the sensitivity of the case and to protect the minor, her name will not be disclosed. But it is an alarming case, because the man, Wilhelm Leslie Junior was allegedly found in bed at about midnight on Friday with the child who is now thirteen. The allegation, however, is that he had been abusing the child since she was nine years old. Forty-three year old Leslie told the court this morning on arraignment “I have been taking care of that child from she was little” . The child alleges that Leslie had been having sexual intercourse with her for four years, going back to April 2006. She gave two dates in particular to police – the first time it allegedly happened and last Friday when police surprised him in bed with the girl. When asked in court why he should be spared going to jail on remand, Leslie said that he is the father of five children and that the mother of three of them is abroad, which means there would be no one to take care of them. But Senior Magistrate Frazer was not convinced and remanded him to the Hattieville Prison until August seventh. The child told the court that she frequently visited Leslie’s home and business and that their sexual encounters would be at least three times a week when Leslie’s common-law-wife was in the bathroom. She also said that he would give her twenty dollars per week. A doctor who examined the girl certified that she is carnally known and classified the injuries as Grievous Harm. The girl’s mother was initially not inclined to press charges, but this morning Leslie was escorted to court.
This is ridiculous how can a grown man with kids of his own take advantage of this child. She is also a willing participant in this or was forced by her mother to do it for the little money that he is giving her either way he should be locked up and the keys thrown away he is a disgrace to mankind.
I very much blame this grown up man, he have kids and I wonder if he have a daughter that age!! Can he imagine a man his age having sex with his daughter!!! Kill this SOB.
Now where the heck was the mother, please don’t tell me she did’nt know what was happening, to her child, CHARGE THE MOTHER!!! she need to be taken to court cause she is as guilty as the child abuser.

Same as with the next story of the young boy being abused. Hang him high in front of the court house, arrest and punish the mother of the young girl (if found, beyond reasonable doubt, that she willingly or encouraged the prostitution of her daughter).

Hey, I believe the mother knew all along what was taking place. She was involved. Maybe she got some of that same money her daughter got. How could she not know her child wasn’t in her home during the time when she was over at that sick old man? her mom should be punished too. He had that guts to even say he has children, no one wants to be around him right now knowing what he did to that young girl. What is Belize coming to?

If he was done in the time it took for his common law wife to use the bathroom, it makes perfect sense why no woman stayed with him.
Her mother needs to be prosecuted for pandering, pimping, Child abuse, neglect & every other statute she violated. We have to teach our daughters to know when they are being violated & to speak up b4 they are screwed over. Not putting a 9yr old in a compromising positions is a good start.
Maybe the men in Hattieville will give him the attention he gave this child & the ride the mothers of his children deserved.
What angers me as well, is WHY has he NOT been charged for Rape??? The child cannot legally consent, and if he has …………………., rape charges CAN and SHOULD be laid. Rape carries a minimum of 10 – and a max of life. Carnal Knowlege…BAH. Do your job, Vidal, and do NOT screw this one up.
The mother of this child must have been aware of this poor child’s plight. This is definitely a case where placing this little girl in a safe environment would be best for her. Any parent would question why a man would give their child $20 a week. This also demonstrates that all the adults around her have betrayed this child. The common law wife, the mother and the monster should all face charges of the crime. In addition, by sending him to jail his own children at home might have been given a reprieve from abuse.
There seem to be an upsurge in reported cases of sexual abuse of children. I am encouraged that the children feel empowered to report the infringement of their human rights, and that they have been give justice in the courts. I hope also that they would have access to appropriate healthcare including some counselling to help them get over their ordeal.

It is time for this to stop. The mother should definitely go to jail as she was well aware of what her child was doing and pushed her to it. How can her minor child sleep out if not with her blessing? She pimped out her daughter and should be charged with that crime. This is nothing new. It is one case out of hundreds. BOth the mother and the guy’s wife–jail all of them with the worse criminals in Hattieville so that they can get the sense. All three of them are the scums of the earth!
I have sympathy only for the child who didn’t know any better and will have to live with the evil scars of sexual abuse.
