95% of viewers think sexual predators should get harsher penalties

The cases of sexual abuse of minors prompted our question on Tuesday. We asked: Should penalties be increased for predators found guilty of sexually abusing minors, regardless of the age of the child? Votes streamed into our e-poll, with an over whelming ninety-five percent of our viewers in agreement that the punishment for Child abusers should be tougher. One viewer texted to our IMS saying “Yes it should be. The child will be scarred for life both mentally and physically.” The remaining five percent of our viewers said that the penalties should not be increased because jail time won’t serve a purpose.
