Minor charged with robbery of three persons
A minor has been remanded to the Wagner’s Youth Facility after he allegedly held up three persons. Around eight-fifteen a.m. on October ninth Raynard Encalada, Ervin Marin and Denfield Martinez were walking on Duck Lane when they were approached by two persons on bicycles. According to the trio, one of the youths took out a pistol, pointed it at them and demanded that they hand over everything they have. Encalada forked over a gold bracelet and chain valued at twelve hundred dollars. Marin gave up a six hundred dollar cell phone and eighty dollars, while Martinez was relieved of a Samsung cell phone and fifty dollars. Police caught up with one of the robbers on Thursday and he was positively identified as one of the culprits in the robbery during an I.D. parade. The sixteen year old appeared in Family Court this morning and pleaded not guilty to three counts of robbery. He was remanded until his next court date on December third. Police continue to look for the second suspect.
