Channel 5 takes you on the red carpet for Film Festival 2010
Get ready for the red carpet because it’s time for the annual film festival. Beginning tonight and for the duration of the festival, only on this station, catch the Belize International Film Festival TV show. In partnership with our friends from NICH, the shows will be aired weeknights after the news. View the trailers of the movies to be featured, documentaries, interviews with local and foreign filmmakers, actors, organizers, workshop facilitators and all the action of the festival that closes on July twenty-fourth. Tonight’s show airs immediately after News Five Live.
I’d like to thank the academy for holding a film festival to showcase the emerging graphic/visual artist that are quietly developing in our little jewel of Belize. It is through these efforts that we will one day be able to produce short and feature films that reflect our culture and history, and present them to the world as entertainment. Knowing that people will sit quietly in the dark and watch your story learning about US, should be very impowering. I wish you all the best and never……. never bore the audience.
