Three injured in Boom accident
A blow-out and rain-slicked roads proved to be a dangerous combination this afternoon on the Northern Highway. Details are sparse, but just before two p.m., a van belonging to Rosales Enterprise of Sandhill and carrying three passengers suffered a blow-out and ran off the road into a concrete fence. The incident occurred just past the Boom cutoff near mile fourteen on the Northern Highway. The injured passengers were carted off by BERT to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital. There is no word as to the scope of their injuries, but News Five understands that the impact of the collision was severe enough that the van and the fence were extensively damaged.
