Mechanic, charged for murder in front of Korea Electronics

Charles McKoy

As we said, sixteen year old Alexander Murray, a mechanic, was killed on Saturday morning. He and his older brother Alton, along with two friends, Glenford Martinez and Michael Stevens, were traveling in a black Pontiac Grand Prix car on Freetown Road, when they were cornered by two vehicles near Korea Electronics, a Ford F150 pick-up truck to the front and an Astro Van from behind. Shots rang out and in the spray of bullets Alexander was injured on the head and back. Hours later he succumbed to the injuries at the K.H.M.H. where he was undergoing treatment. This morning under police escort, Charles McKoy, also a mechanic of one and a half miles Northern Highway was arraigned in court. McKoy, who appeared with Attorney, Arthur Saldivar, was slapped with a slew of charges: the Murder of Alexander, Attempted Murder of Martinez, Use of Deadly Means of Harm and Dangerous Harm on Alton and the Aggravated Assault of Stevens and Martinez. Alexander did not survive the shooting, but the others who were injured have been released from the hospital. Police are looking for another suspect believed to have been in the van. Word on the street is that the murder may be related to another murder that occurred in April this year.

Can any of these young men even remember what the beef was about in the first place. The cycle of violence is just feeding on itself> The only people making money are the undertakers & even they don’t look happy.

hope they jail him for life with hard punishment not a sweet life in jail like kolbe does. these guys need hard life treatment so that the remorse of killing kills them slowly and painfully. it really pisses me off to see cases like these end in free of murder later.

don’t talk anything that you don’t know! a person should be innocent until proven guilty, but the system is backward here. it seems you are guilty until you can prove you are innocent.

  4. concern citizen says:

the judical and police system is messed up in belize….here you are guilty until proven innocent…policent arrest then they investigate when it should be the other way arround…he is innocent ( we all know that including the police but they are just too much badminded currupted people living here) he should be released….his named is scar for life for something he has no involvment with

First of all in this case this Gentleman should have being considered a victim ,( point one) The vehicle that this guy alleged to be in was in front of the vehicle that got shot up, now you tell me how is it possible for him to commit murder when the person was in front. and its very obvious that there is some form of corruption in the investigation, when they know that the perpetrators were in the vehicle behind the vehicle that was shot at that cause the live of one of the occupants, think about that seriously, then you will see where the system is screwed up.
