Joseph and Delanni are 1st Duets champs
And the winner is … Last night’s grand finale of Duets was both intense and exciting after thirteen weeks of gruelling competition. The results of text voting placed the duo of Joseph Stamp Romero and Delanni Thurton-Romero as the crowd favourite and they danced away with ten thousand dollars in cash and other prizes to become the champs of Channel Five’s first Duets. Second place winners Ameera Marin and Troy Longsworth took home three thousand dollars in cash while Romey Plunkett and Elizabeth Tate placed third to win the two thousand dollar cash prize. The Bliss Auditorium was filled to capacity as the three finalists did their final performances on stage and when the results were announced after certification by the PKF firm, the crowd simply went wild. While the winning Duets basked in glory, they were humbled by the support they got.
