Earlier in the newscast, we told you that police need your help in identifying a man found dead on the Western Highway. They also need your assistance in locating driver of a heavy duty vehicle that was involved in a road fatality on Monday night. The hit and run occurred on the Hummingbird Highway at around eight o’clock and claimed the life of a resident of Saint Margaret’s Village. The fifty-one year old victim was heading back home when he was hit and abandoned on the highway. News Five’s Marion Ali has the details in the following report.

How many petroleum trucks do we have on the roads & based on the time of day & location, the driver & his company know or should know which truck hit this man & who was driving & turn him in. It’s bad enough that we are not getting our fair share of the revenues from the sale of our oil, the least they can do is make sure they respect our laws or was vehicular homicide one of the crimes they could not be prosecuted for?

should be a piece of cake for the police to solve…(i hope).

Pedestrians need to get off the highway for their own safety, make a picado through the village or something. I’ve seen ppl walking all over the highway when driving. Drivers should be more careful also, but in the end it is up to the villagers stay off the highways….
