Breaking news; body of murdered man brought from Turneffe

In news just in, the body of a man was brought to Belize City about an hour ago from Turneffe Island where he was reportedly murdered. Officers of the Crimes Investigations branch are trying to solve the shooting death of thirty-three year old Kirk Smith. Smith, a fisherman of Sarstoon Street, Belize City, had left his wife, Maxine and their three children on Wednesday to go fishing. News Five understands that sometime this evening Smith was with two of his work colleagues when a third man shot him in the right side of his abdomen. The details are still unclear as to how the incident happened and who the triggerman was. News Five will follow up on this story in Tuesday’s newscast.
