Viewers respond to poll about Kendall Bridge

This past Thursday it was disclosed that it will take another two years to replace the Kendall Bridge which was washed away back in 2008 by Tropical Storm Arthur. Government is forecasting that when all said and done, the new bridge will be completed in 2012. Many responded to our question on whether it is fair for Belizeans to wait another two years for the completion of the southern bridge.  When we checked our polls this afternoon, one viewer wrote: “The constructing of a new Kendall Bridge in their sense of understanding would be more convenient when elections are near. I cannot see any reason for government to wait two years.” Eighty five percent who responded said the wait is not fair while fifteen percent thought otherwise.
