Alvaro Gregorio in jail on Murder charge
The jealous man accused of the stabbing murder of thirty-seven year old Salvadoran Roberto Jimenez in San Pedro on Wednesday, has been remanded to the Hattieville Prison. Alvaro Gregorio reportedly dodged Jimenez as he went to have lunch with Gregorio’s ex common-law-wife Aura Molina. The victim was stabbed twice and his demise was instant. Gregorio was on the run but was out-smarted by the San Pedro police and brought to face charges. Freelance Reporter, Joseph Budna, filed the following report late this evening on the court proceedings.

“Thirty year old Alvaro Rene Gregorio, the man accused of stabbing to death Salvadoran national Humberto Jimenez Maroquin over jealousy in San Pedro Town, was escorted today by two police officers to court. When he appeared before Magistrate Emerson Banner the charge of murder was read to him. No plea was taken as it is an indictable matter. Magistrate Banner wasted no time and remanded Gregorio to the Belize Central Prison until December tenth, 2008. Gregorio was represented in court by attorney at law, Ms. Sharon Pitts. This is Joseph Budna reporting from San Pedro Town for Channel Five.”
Gregorio was located by police inside an abandoned house two miles north of San Pedro Island on Thursday morning.
