Traffic officer charged with Carnal Knowledge

While his job is to uphold the law, today a traffic officer was charged for just the opposite when he appeared in court for Unlawful Carnal Knowledge. Thirty year old, Mark Banner of Hattieville is spending his first night behind bars on remand for the offense he allegedly committed against a fourteen year old girl. The incident occurred on six different occasions in June of this year and as a result, the girl is now four months pregnant. Chief Magistrate, Margaret Gabb ordered Banner to return to court on November sixth.

In related news in the Corozal District, a man has been charged with Incest involving his twelve year old niece. The girl told police in the presence of her mother that the incident occurred in July of this year at her home. She said that her uncle tied her hands and forced her into her bedroom and had sexual intercourse with her. A medical examiner has since confirmed that she has been molested.
