Two brazen women rob and assault elderly man
Two brazen teenagers from Corozal Town reportedly held up an elderly man at the Santa Elena border and made away with fifty pesos, the equivalent of ten Belize dollars, and an additional twelve dollars in cash. According to Ernesto Pech, the incident occurred at about two-thirty yesterday afternoon at an open lot in the border area. Pech said the two women approached him and demanded that he hand over money. When he refused, the women headed for Pech’s car and helped themselves to a bag containing the cash. But before getting away, one of the two punched him on the left eye and escaped in a red tow-head truck towards the Belize border. Both eighteen year old Nikita Hall and eighteen year old Shelvy Conorquie, of the College Road, are detained but are yet to be charged.
