The babysitter who was being sought for allegedly burning a two year old baby boy has been apprehended and taken to court in San Ignacio. Thirty-three year old Melanie Moody was captured late on Thursday and was taken to court this morning. She is accused of using a hot iron to inflict burns on two year old Adrian Lisbey while caring for him on Monday afternoon at his family’s house. Moody is out on bail and this has raised serious concerns at the San Ignacio Women’s Department. That is because Moody was previously accused of abusing her own child. Now pregnant again, she was out of a job and was living with the Lisbey family when she allegedly burned Adrian on the legs, arms, abdomen and back of the neck. She now faces charges of Harm and Aggravated Assault.

I am so happy to hear that she has been caught. I have thought of that little boy, and now hope he gets justice. Prosecute her to the fullest extent of the law!

Glad she was caught because she harmed an annocent child. Moody is a troubled woman with many issues, but she should be punished for her crime anyway.
If something was done about the reports made about Moody abusing her own child this could have been prevented, shame on the W departmen.
Now you tell me why did they give this woman bail? This da lone foolishness..She needs to go straight to jail…and keep her there until her hearing begins..And i 99.99% sure that she will get off this charge…only in the country of Belize people murder and get away with it….How do you spell dat word….NOLE PORSEQUAI..dat da all you hear ina murder cases…and thats a shame…This baby was defenseless imagin a 2 year old compared to a hard back 35 year old…I AM REALLY PISSED.

I think the judge should get a tv in court for ms moody and show her what is the penalty for abusing children in America, show her more than one video n have her pick her sentence. Bet you when she comes out of jail, she will never hurt a kid again.
They gave this woman bail? Something is seriously wrong with our judicial system. This is why some people may find it necessary to take matters into their own hands. What could a two year old possibly have done to her to justify that beating. As a mother, I say prosecute to the fullest extent n lock her a** up!
this woman needs some mental health assesments! What on earth could possibly make a woman- mother of children burn a poor baby like this????? People like this should never be allowed near another child again including her own- especially since she has previously been charger for abusing her very own!!!!!
this child might need a phsycological treatment after this harm, this kid will grow with those burn scars wonder what the hell happen to him when he grows older. imagine the trauma he’s going through with fear. damn! this woman really needs a good punishment BUT due to her pregnancy you’ll see she’ll be free in no time. but as they say what goes around comes around but worse. hope this kid get the medical attention physical and mental as well as emotional.
