Guatemalan shot at Equestrian Academy
A man is currently in the hospital suffering from gunshot wounds. On Wednesday, police visited the Western Regional Hospital where they found Guatemalan national, Byron Roberto Broaster, with injuries to his right upper arm and back. Twenty-one year old Santos Ramirez, watchman of Equestrian Academy at Mile fifty-four on the Western Highway, told police that about three-thirty yesterday morning when conducting his routine patrol of the grounds, he saw a Hispanic man standing near the club house. Ramirez said that the man told him that he was taking the academy horses to the United States. Ramirez fired a warning at Broaster when he noticed that the horses were missing. When Broaster refused to leave, Ramirez shot him.
