FirstCaribbean Adopts a Cause in the K.H.M.H.

The paediatric ward of the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital got a face lift over the weekend as part of the FirstCaribbean International Bank’s Adopt a Cause Program. The bank offers assistance to needy institutions or volunteers the services of its staff to charity work as a part of its social responsibility. For the past two months the bank and hospital have been coordinating to renovate the right wing of the ward and modernizing the children’s play room and general recreation area. The staff of FirstCaribbean spent hours on Saturday painting the ward. The bank also purchased curtains, TV’s, light fixtures and fans for the ward and will work to repair existing beds and cribs. The gifts were handed over this afternoon.
