Robbery charge falls apart despite solid evidence

Diamond Motel on the Northern Highway was robbed on February fifteenth, 2009. The first person to be charged was Kareem Flowers, but he was acquitted earlier this month because it came to light that Flowers gave the police information after the investigating officer, Sergeant Tyrone Bradley, promised his freedom in exchange for his testimony. Flowers named two other persons, Devon Bailey and Bejohn Martinez and they were also charged with Robbery. But they too were acquitted today when Revenue Magistrate Edd Usher upheld a no case submission because none of the victims were able to identify the accused men in

court and because there were several other discrepancies throughout the trial. On the day of the robbery, two men stormed the motel and held the proprietor, Chiung Hsia Yeh and her receptionist, Rosaria Vasquez at gunpoint. The women were ordered to lie on the ground and Yeh was robbed of a six hundred dollar diamond ring while Vasquez was relieved of a gold ring and chain as well as one thousand five hundred dollars in cash. The entire ordeal was captured on surveillance camera but it wasn’t until for days later that police came upon the getaway vehicle at Flowers’ home. Police found a computer inside the vehicle which was stolen in a separate robbery and inside Flowers home, the found some marijuana. That’s when Sergeant Bradley told Flowers that he would not be charged if he named his two accomplices.
wait, so the two accomplices are freed of charge too? this is insane, a sergeant promising freedom to a criminal if other accomplices are revealed. so wrong

First of all they could not be identified by their victims, and even by the surveillance camara, so this is enough lack of evidence to send these b…… back out on the streets to plan and commit even more robberies.The police is no new matter, yet they still upset me to the core.
These men would not walk out of my court room if I was the judge, trust me.
Remember their ugle-… faces people, they will strike again, be armed and ready.
This case was delayed for several times prior to commencement, and judge gave a hard time to victims’ attempt in identifying the suspects, as if the victim MUST provide absolute evidence while it were all there. No lawyer was employed but the court acted in favor for the suspects. If the justice system serving lawful, tax-paying, peaceful citizens in assisting freedom of the criminals, then this country is bound to corrupt, crumble, and eventually doomed.
The court system is as raw and inefficient as the country’s political and medical systems, and with third-world-worst printed all over. It prompts only laziness and encouragement to the bad minded. Why should we strive for the best while others can simply take advantage with a click of trigger?
God will serve justice, so watch out the f-up system, court, criminals and whoever.

shame, shame, shame ,this system cannot convict a man which has strong evidences against him. Once again, we’re a banana republic. I’m thinking to get in crime activities myself. It Pays!!!
Brilliat Sgt Bradley! Just brilliant. You single handedly solved a case that has been baffling us, Belizeans, for a while! And I am talking about the case of incompetence. It my sincere hope that you never get above the rank os seargeant as you are a detriment to the attempt to fight crime in Belize!

i think that the GOB should start to do what is right with the criminals them. I think the reason why the minsters are not pulling their weight is because most of the ciminals them are working for them.
