SJC Alumni Association honours past students

For others, the years of studies, are paying off. The Saint John’s College Alumni Association is hosting its President’s Alumni Awards banquet this weekend and will be honouring graduates who did well in school and are now excelling in life. Graduates from both SJC high school and junior college, from as recently as 2003 and from as far back as 1971 will be receiving awards. Among them are B.E.L. C.E.O. Lynn Young, receiving the Alumni Achievement Award; BCB Holdings C.O.O. Jose Cardona, receiving the Alumni Appreciation Award and Cabinet Secretary James Murphy will be given the Lifetime Achievement Award. A current member of the SJC faculty, Michelle Perdomo, will also be recognized with the Alumni Faculty Appreciation Award. And I am humbled to be receiving the Outstanding Recent Alumni Award.

Mr. Young has made himself, family and true friends very proud. I know Mr. Young and he is a very professional, and outgoing person. You are now C.E.O. of B.E.L., wow, take a bow. You have been in that hot seat for so many years, and I like so many belizeans would agree, you are not there for the salary, but simply because you have a real passion and committment in serving the Belizean populace. Continue doing good, and God will certainly bless you.
Proud of you mi bally Lynn young, you have gone far in life and in your achievements, but guess what I will give one dozen awards the day you fight the big gaints and bring down the cost of light for the Belizeans, especially the less fortunate Belizean ,,,,, like me.
