Burglar gets a slap on the wrist with a machete

Floyd Robateau appeared in court today sporting a bandaged left hand. He was injured during an alleged burglary at Williamsons Industries Limited at mile eight on the Northern Highway late Monday afternoon. According to Eduardo Miranda, a security guard, he arrived for work at about four-thirty and noticed that the garage door was pried open. Miranda says he inspected the premises and saw Robateau climbing out of a window on the lower flat of the building, which is owned by Larry McClaren. Miranda claims that he threatened to call the police and Robateau said that he would kill himself to avoid going back to prison. Miranda instead tried to call McClaren, but got no answer so he instructed his wife to call the cops. Miranda pursued Robateau with a machete, but the parolee had a weapon of his own. He drew a knife and tried to stab Miranda, who defended himself with the machete. Robateau was injured on the left hand before police arrived and detained him. Cops also found a knife and crowbar at the scene and those will be used as evidence to support the charges of Aggravated Burglary and Aggravated Assault against. He was remanded at the Hattieville Prison until September twenty-third.
Don’t bring a knife to a machete fight… He was lucky this time.

Chop off ih hand for real. Let that be a reminder of what he did. Prison life is too good for these guys; rehabilitation is fruitless as well. These guys need to be put to work………doing some real hard labour in the prison.
I hate to say this but maybe Mr Miranda should have done him a big favor and chop both hands off and help this guy to end his criminal activities. There are far too many lazy people around, who envy others but not will to get up and earn a dollar honestly.
Once upon a time young men would walk passed your house and ask if you need your grass cutting or if you had anything they could do to earn some money. Now they have a sense that what is yours should be theirs, and prepared to kill you for it.
I think it is time for us to institute a law where the court can order the amputation of a finger of a robber for his or her first offence and the hand for the second, and if the offence is commited with a gun or any other kind of weapon; both hands should be immediately amputated, i beleive this will drastically reduce the incidents of robbery.

Koodos to miranda u did an outstanding job.luckily u weren,t charge 4 defending yourself. As 2 the person who mentioned that 4 every robbery or theft that an individual commits dat the islamic law should b applied i think its a good idea. However those corrupt politicians will never pass an islamic law. U know y cause after they loose power and they r brought 2 justice they will get amputated by mr. Miranda 4stealing peoples money.
