No arrests for murder of Senior Citizen
Seventy-four year old Elston Peters was shot behind his neck on Glenn Street on Sunday night. His daughter said that after delivering a pencil to his grandson he went to visit his other sons around the corner on George Street. After leaving their home, the senior citizen was senselessly shot by a lone gunman without provocation. Peters lived a life of peace and did not involve himself in disputes. No arrests have been made, and no suspects have been identified for the slaying. Similarly, there are no arrests as yet in the murder of Jordick Thompson, who was gunned down on September first after weeks of receiving threatening text messages.

people keep killing each other, because they know their killing just might go unsolved.
RIP.
This is sick…hope they find the killer(s) and hang him/them.
THIS IS ANOTHER CRYING SHAME!!!! AS MUCH AS I STILL LOVE BELIZE, I AM LOOSING HOPE AS I READ & HEAR ABOUT THE RECENT MURDER SPREE THAT HAS INFECTED OUR “JEWEL”. THE WITNESSES IF ANY, ARE IN DANGER OF LOOSING THEIR LIVES TOO…AND THE POLICE DOES LITTLE, OR NOTHING TO HELP MAKE THE SITUATION BETTER.
WHERE PEOPLE CAN CALL & REPORT ANY CRIMINAL ACITVITY THAT THEY KNOW OF…SOMEBODY KNOWS SOMETHING!!! IT’S A SHAME HONEST PEOLE LIVE IN FEAR, BECAUSE THEY KNOW OF A CRIME BUT IS AFRAID TO COME FORWARD, OT OF FEAR. DOES BELIZE HAVE AN ANNONYMOUS TELEPHONE HOTLINE, WHERE PEOPLE CAN CALL & REPORT ANY CRIMINAL ACTIVITY THAT THEY KNOW OF???
We all can blog about the crime situation in Belize and nothing is going to change until Mr Barrow decide to make some amendments to our laws.
This is a sad thing. I know this man, he was humble soft spoken and loved his family. Are you telling me that the life of another is worth absolutely nothing but bragging rights? What will it take to end the crime spree? Now–if the killer can’t get the intended victim they take it out on a family member. So now it seems children, women and senior citizens are not off limits. Do you fools realize that you are crippling the fiber of our country? The ever increasing crime rate is keeping visitors away therefore we are unable to fuel our economy.
Government, and I use that term loosely, let’s focus on the fundamental issue here which is employment. I firmly believe that the Belizean Government should solicit external help to rebuild the infrastructure and repair the judicial system.
where is the police?are they in the jungle or cockscomb basin training the jaguars with nincompoop douglas singh can someone out there please ……….either a minister or a politician so that they get sense how dangerous is the situation in bze.please send the b.d f along with the police to patrol the streets by foot and well armed. If those unguided destructive parasites cannot help us or protect our bzean people then resign and let other do the job. Bla bla bla thats all barrow can do we want action. Barrow is living in his own wonder world.do bzean ppl realize that it is beneficial 4 barrow .that crime escalates as more crimminals hire his law firm 2 defend them.
