Five minors nabbed for robbery rampage in Ladyville

Ladyville residents can breathe easier tonight as five minors who allegedly went on a robbery rampage have been nabbed by police. The five were charged today for the string of burglaries that occurred in the village between August first and September eleventh.
In the first instance, three of the minors who appeared in court were charged with Burglary and Handling Stolen Goods. They pleaded not guilty to burglary but guilty to the charge of handling stolen goods when they appeared in Family Court before Magistrate Nathalia Carter. The prosecution, however, did not accept the guilty pleas because it wants to have a thorough check of the file. Police report that they recovered most of the stolen goods when they searched the houses where the minors live. The victims of the crime are Audrey Reyes, Robert Garoy and Stephanie Reyes.

This afternoon, two other minors were also charged with burglary and handling stolen goods. The two pleaded not guilty to the charge of burglary and guilty to handling stolen goods charges. The prosecution similarly did not accept the guilty pleas and offered bail of two thousand dollars and ordered the minors to report to court again on November third. The homes of Ladyville residents Terry Gordon and Andre Bradley were burglarized allegedly by the two and most of the items have been recovered.
