Five remanded on gun and ammunition charges

Five Belize City men appeared before Magistrate Albert Hoare today to face gun possession and ammunition charges after a bust on Friday night. Twenty-two year old Steven Flowers, twenty-eight year old Tylon Tillett, twenty year old Charles Young Jr. and thirty-four year old Robert Gilharry were arrested following the discovery of a black nine millimeter Luger brand pistol loaded with twelve live rounds.

Police on mobile patrol on Baymen Avenue reportedly were in pursuit of a green Toyota Camry when upon turning into Calle Al Mar an occupant of the vehicle tossed the weapon. In court today Gilharry pleaded guilty to both charges admitting that he was the one who threw the pistol out of the vehicle.

An equivocal plea was entered after the facts of the case were read to Gilharry because he disagreed with police allegations that they saw Jeffrey Flowers toss the gun. Tylon Tillett was represented by attorney Ellis Arnold while his colleagues were undefended.

The men have each appeared before the court on separate offences ranging from drug trafficking to attempted murder. Due to the nature of this recent brush with the law all five were remanded to the Hattieville Prison until October twentieth.
That bird in the hand is worth more then five in the bush, if Gilharry says he did it, consider it one conviction down & assume that he owned the gun, if there are dead bodies on it, charge him with murder & he may come to his senses. If he still has any.
The last time Ellis was in court, he convinced the judge that Dr. Gough did not beat up his daughter’s boy toy, God knows what story he will come up with for this lune who is either high, crazy or trying to look tough.
We want to see all of their faces.
They’ve appeared in court before u say. Ok – then its pretty clear they’re criminal minded, hang them, hang them, hang them all. Why we keep letting these people back unto the streets to do more crimes? Lawd, when wi wahn laawn…
Like I said many times before, don’t waste the court time, and shoot these animals in the head.
Let them die for their country; they have nothing of value to contribute into a society that they did not help to create.
It sure is nice for a change to see these culprits get arrested and face the legal system looks like the cops have done their job this time, now it’s up to the judge. Hope we can get to see this kind of arrest more frequently but we really need to see their faces wonder why would they post a picture hiding faces of criminals? It’s not like they are under aged or something. I hope they have all the evidence under lock and key in a vault where more than one person needs to open it don’t forget there are still dirty cops in the force that easily gets bought over.

This crowd ya always di tek vacation da Kolbe, Belize need fi adapt draconian laws & deal with ppl like these when they are found guilty of a crime. The laws of Belize are too WEAK, these guys will be out in a few months doing the same thing again or maybe even worst.

BUILD A PRISON FARM DOWN THERE.

I agree that these men should be thrown under the jail for these charges, no doubt in my mind that they plan to do evil with these guns and ammo, but the racist comments made by Maddyvan just shows what kind of vermin is now running loose in our country.
