Butane price goes down by three dollars
With the spiraling cost of living in basic food items, there is some good news for consumers countrywide as today government announced that the price of butane gas has been reduced by three dollars. The new approved maximum retail price for a hundred pound cylinder in Corozal and Belize is one hundred and twenty-four dollars, in Belmopan and San Ignacio, it is one hundred and twenty-six dollars, in Orange Walk, one hundred and twenty-five dollars and in Benque Viejo it is now selling at one hundred and twenty-seven dollars. Down south consumers will be paying the most and in Dangriga butane gas will now retail at one hundred and twenty eight dollars and in Punta Gorda for one hundred and twenty-nine dollars. This is the second decrease in prices in six weeks.
