Four shots for Abdul Theus on Gibnut Street

The night of the twentieth as well as Independence Day went without any reported violent incidents. But the quiet did not last for long. Just before news time this evening, a man was shot in Belize City.  It happened at about five-thirty on Gibnut Street near its intersection with Roger’s Stadium.  Abdul Theus was caught in a barrage of gunfire. It is not yet known how many injuries he sustained, but Theus was reportedly shot to the mouth, shoulder, foot and back. Officers tagged and bagged at least seven shell casings at the scene.  Theus was immediately transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where he is in a critical condition.  Theus is in his twenties and a sixteen year old minor has been detained for questioning in relation to the incident.  We’ll have more details about this shooting in tomorrow night’s newscast.

Charge him & prosecute him as an adult & just for good measure charge his parents with neglect & contributory negligence!

Is it possible that he is connected to the other two shootings in the past couple weeks that shattered the victims jawbones?.

  2. MADDYVANDIJK/DEREALIST/DEPUNISHER says:

The animals are at it again in the city, shooting each other down like stray dogs on poverty streets.
You caught the suspect; now shoot him in the head.
    RESPECT THE LAW, you IDIOTS:
Again, these crack-head babies are notoriously slow learners.
The weekend is almost here, who will be next?

  6. So Jah Seh! says:

This morning, in a foreign country, I woke up to a dream of a death close and dear to, as I was gasping for breath the first thing that came to my consciousness was ‘THE BELIZE NATIONAL PRAYER’
ALMIGHTY AND ETERNAL GOD, WHO THROUGH JESUS CHRIST HAS REVEALED YOUR GLORY TO ALL NATIONS. And it made me think, when was the last time I heard that prayer on a radio or TV station? It has been many years and this leave me thinking that Belize on a whole has forgotten our spiritual values, we use to pray as a nation and when it all cease we can see the results. Sorry got to run my flight is being called. We need to look deeper at this.

elgin & Rod…. was it govnt forces killing these people?? No! it’s your neighbour you dont want to “Snitch” about… or perhaps your sons or nephews or some acquaintance…. one of those you would swear to GOD “No badda nobody” and is a “good, quiet friendly person”… when police pick them up or are killed…

stop the madness of blaming the govnts our ills (let me tell you… NEITHER the PUP nor the UDP leaders are our solution… )

WE are the solution .. wake up to the reality that its we the people creating all this….. and WE have to take responsibility to it and put a stop to it…… even if at times it may mean taking the law in our hands… so to speak…

will you guys also blame govnt for the brother killing his brother??? I wouldnt doubt you already did… thanks to people like you we elect crooks and incompetents… and we get deeper into our misery!!! ALL you guys think is playing politics….. and blaming somebody!!!

  8. Earl Grey says:

So Jah Seh…………… I always say that ………………. THE CHURCHES HAVE FAILED US.

THEY ARE NOT ABOUT SPREADING THE WORD AND LOVE OF GOD ANY MORE.

    WHAT ARE THEY ABOUT………….. anyway???????????

  9. Earl Grey says:

    MADDYVANDIJK/SURREALIST……………………….

WE WILL GIVE YOU THE GUN TO SHOOT THEM…. and THAT WILL MAKE YOU JUST LIKE THOSE WHOM YOU CALL ANIMALS.

By the way…….. ANIMALS DON’T ACT LIKE THAT.

  10. shyfry says:

We should not blame the government we should blame ourselves , because we should stand up and fight for what we belive in . look at place like guatemala and on , if they would catch a thief a rapist they would torture that person and let him pay maybe we need to act like that. yes we the inocent need to show that we want this bloody shooting to Stop. WE need CURFEW! AND MAKE SURE ITS NOT A SO.SO THING MAN . TAKE THEM OFF THE STREET .

  11. ronzy says:

I dont necessarily agree with MADDYVANDIJK but to some extent yes. People need to start pointing these “BAD BOYS” out , even if you conceal your identity. This way the police can step on these guys before they actually commit a crime, prevention is better than cure. If its your family, still do it. This might save their lives in the future or save them from jail. Remember every action has a reaction, choose the right one.

  12. Earl Grey says:

    FOR THE RECORD………………..

IT’S THE GOVERNMENT THAT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE PROTECTION OF THE PEOPLE.

  13. Islander says:

Earl Gray if you are truly and 100% sure of your statement that the Government is responsible for the protection of the people TAKE THEM TO COURT and see what happens.

The Government nor the Police nor the BDF have a legal responsibility to protect each individual.
IF YOU ARE SO SURE THAT THEY DO THEN TAKE THEM TO COURT AND PROVE IT.

  14. bigz says:

O cmon pple to be a bad boy is inevitable when it comes to living in belize….u a punk u get hammered and people try tp ….. on you all the time…and i guess everybody knows the police arent doing their job not because they cant but cuz they make more mone reselling what they conviscate…

  15. blvnjah says:

ROSKA……….YOU SO RIGHT. EVERYTHING IS BLAME GOV’T BLAME POLICE. NOTHING IS EVER OUR FAULT OR RESPONSIBILITY TO FIX.

  16. Crispin says:

Crispin, lets hear a press conference about how crime is down again; please, humor me.

You got my full support for a death squad; Honduras had to do it with the MS 13 gangs; why? Because it had gotten so out of control that no court system or policing could stop the violence; the police dept. literally had to set up an (un)official death squad to clean out the human garbage that was collection and wreaking havoc on the country.

Think Belize is not there yet? then you are living under a rock.

  17. MADDYVANDIJK/DEREALIST/DEPUNISHER says:

The simple truth here is that the only proof that Troll-Grey-Demonkeyman has and has proven to us on a daily basis is that he is a true illiterate. Some might debate that the GOB is to blame for not enforcing education, but I blame the gene pool.

    Crispin, “ZERO TOLERANCE”.
