Price of a cylinder of butane goes up

If you’re heading out to buy butane, you’ll need an extra two bucks because the prices have increased as of Monday. That puts the price in Belize City and Corozal at one hundred and twelve dollars. In Orange Walk, the cooking gas is being sold for a hundred and thirteen dollars while in Belmopan and San Ignacio the price of the hundred pound cylinder is a hundred and fourteen. Further west, in Benque the price is a bit higher at one hundred and fifteen dollars. But as usual, the highest prices are in the south due to transportation cost. So if you’re down in Dangriga, you’ll be paying a hundred and sixteen dollars for butane or a hundred and seventeen if you’re buying in Punta Gorda.

What i would like to see this present administration do is find the technology to harness all those natural gas that is being burned off from the oil wells and convert it to be used for cooking and to run machinery and so on and so forth. Someone needs to school me and let me know why is it that none of our enterprising Businessmen have not jumped on such an investment.
Or are they waiting for a foreigner to come and do it then complain about the unleveled playing field?
Mein…. the amount of resourses that Belize have along with such a small population, there is no way on God’s green earth that our poverty index should be pushing up on 50%. NO WAY!!!!
But, the Leaders that have been elected to office since self government are only concerned with enriching themselves their families and friends. It is plain for all to see. Exchanging PUP for UDP at the polls is like changing white monkey for white dog. Cold talk!!…………and who bex………bex!!!!!
