Honduras killing of bank robbery suspects under investigation

alexander edwards

The story behind the killings of two Belizean wanted men who were linked to the Scotiabank robbery in March of this year is still under investigation.  The men, Alexander Edwards and Benjamin Peters, were reportedly onboard a bus in San Pedro Sula, Honduras when they were killed.  A third man, Gabriel Salazar, who was wanted for the same bank heist, was also wounded in the incident.  It is not yet clear if he survived. Edwards’ family lives in the San Mateo area of San Pedro Town but they did not want to appear on camera. Our trek took us over narrow makeshift London bridges for close to a quarter mile before reaching the Edwards’ family home.  His mother was not at home because she was in Honduras still, getting the details of her son’s killing.  His sisters stood from the verandah and told us that they were instructed not to speak to the media.   Relatives of the other men are still in Honduras taking care of funeral arrangements and looking into the circumstances surrounding their deaths.

  4. Edith says:

They don’t need a funeral. Dump them in a hole. In fact, the only reason they get the hole n not just dumped is because they’ll stink up the place.

Wow!!! Justice finally caught up with the these trio. You live by the gun, you die by the gun. They got what they deserve. I am sorry for the weeping parents and family member of these undesirables. Atleast I know no innocent person will die by the hands of these merciless killers.

  6. BZNinCALI says:

I hope the Police are not taking these people’s word as gospel & we are getting independent confirmation that these men are dead & the other injured. $300,000.00 buys a lot including dead bodies & they may be pulling a fast one with their families’ help.

  7. Proud says:

Very good point BZNinCALI. Hope our police looks into that possibility.

Authorities better confirm this or hold their family for questioning for as long as it takes.

  10. sang says:

I do hope the Government will confirm this as this can very well be a hoax. Faking their deaths to get away from be captured. This happenes all the time.

I think BIG TOM faked his death. it was widely reported he is dead by his family and even in the news. but no police in belize or the U.S. have any knowledge of this alleged murder of a notoriously violent man. BIG TOM, look it up..
