Two men charged for home invasion

Five persons were detained following a broad daylight home invasion on Monday at the residence of sixty-nine year old Rosaline Munnings. Today only two of those men, Michael Matute Junior and Jerome Wade, were escorted to the Magistrates’ Court to be arraigned for Conspiracy to Commit Aggravated Burglary and Handling Stolen Goods.

Wade was caught with items that were allegedly stolen from Munnings, including over five thousand dollars in assorted jewelry while Matute was busted with over seven thousand dollars in stolen property. Both men pleaded not guilty to all charges, but bail could not be offered so they were remanded to prison until October eighth. It is not yet known when the other three men who were detained, Gilbert Wade, Ervin Wade, and Deon Gentle, will be charged.

Always pleading not guilty wasting the taxpayers money I guess the criminals already know that this is all just a formality you get arrested you are taken through the front door of the court you plead not guilty and the rest will be taken care of for you, you are then escorted through the back door of the court to be a free person again and the crimes continue. Would be interesting to find the place where all this stolen property is being stashed and how the gains are being distributed they apparently have contacts within the legal system.
When they catch them so red-handed why waste the court time. Lock them up and mek sure they do some hard labor so they learn the value of money. The news media should show the faces of their parents too. Let everyone see who bore life into these dispicable human beings. If they no have shame for themselves maybe they will for their parents. Sick set of animals that want things in life the easy way and on top they assult an elderly woman. Killing them is the easy way out…….mek deh work from 6 a.m to 6pm everyday of their life and they will cherish the freedom they have when they return back into our society.
i AGREE WITH BM. Mek them do hard labor like cleaning Belize City drains, build homes for people that need. etc. Would be nice to see the faces of parents that raised them indeed….they just as guilty by not reporting these incidents.
When they’re caught red handed a plea shouldn’t even b taken. The prison is a vacation home. Something harsher needs to b put in place.
jeez, what the hell is happening to our youths? are they turing in to lazy @$$ criminals thiefing instead of earning a honest living, what about the rest of the thieves? In big day light they thieve, really these son of a b&^*%$# have no shame at all. Chop of their hands to make them see what happens if others plan to thief.
Saldivar or Dickie will attempt to have them released if they have enough cash to pay. The only true way to ensure justice is served these days is a bullet to the back of their heads as soon as caught “red-handed”……
“No pity in the City”…..no love, no respect, no dignity, no pride……time to change this by shooting first and asking for their pleas of guilty/innocence after (especially when caught “red handed” like this).
Miss Munnings – hold faith for the City, we are not all like these scum.
I say lash dem …. 100 times with tambran whip, then force them to clean the street of belize city for 5 years, and they need to apologize to granny!!!
So they have found them, imagine over $7,000 worth of stolen goods. I given up despair. Sadly that all we see of Belize is a climate of negativity. I mean these guys don’t respect any one or value anything. BM I agree with you. I am so fed up of how these guys don’t respect anyone. An elderly lady they probably saw as an easy target. You know as a victim the courts should let her set the punishment she wish to see given to them. I know its not possible but that would be justice wouldn’t it?
I never advocate the death penalty but I would like to see Belize introduce public flogging in some instances for these wayward kids like in Singapore. I would also like to see us have our prisoners chain hang cleaning our streets/drains daily in bright pink jumpsuits as part of their pay back to society. We should be showing these guys what is involved in getting up each day and doing work which contribute to society because many of them probably never ever worked before.
why all the suspects or criminals are black? you dont seem to see other races in front of a judge.. get a life black youth … and to the black community start teaching some values to your children. Belize needs it!!
