Near fatal traffic accident in South Stann Creek

A near fatal traffic accident has been reported near Maya Center Village in South Stann Creek earlier this evening.  Details of the mishap are still sketchy but unconfirmed reports are that two passengers and the driver were trapped inside a vehicle sometime after five o’clock this evening. It is known that two of three occupants in the vehicle, traveling in the direction of Independence Village, have been admitted to the Southern Regional Hospital in critical condition. News Five contacted Dangriga Police but we were told that the officers dispatched to the area were still on the scene of the accident at news time.
