Safiyyah has the Entertainment Treats for the three day weekend

It’s the beginning of a holiday weekend and there’s plenty to do over the next three days.  From Belize City’s exotic nightlife to a family fair and fun day in Los Lagos, this Columbus weekend promises lots of activities for the entire family.  Entertainment host Safiyyah Muhammad has the scoop on all the parties going down this weekend.

Hey I’m Safiyyah and this is What’s Happening Belize.

Well I’ve got start out by reminding you that it is a long weekend so you’ll have plenty of time to relax and have fun. And of course all you party goers will have 3 night to bash it up this weekend.

I have all the hot spots that you can check out, starting with the usual Friday night hotspot here in the city Palm Island. Tonight they will be having Abosolute French Kiss. As you can probably guess, the name comes from the fact that they will be giving away Absolute Vodka all night. Ladies can enter free before midnight and Music will be provided by the house DJs to French Kiss, Tagg International and Belizean Movements.

On Saturday if you are in the Los Lagos Area then you can check out their day fair that will be taking place. There will be lots of food and drinks on sale as well as entertainment for all to enjoy. Federation 501 Sound will be providing the music so check it out if you can.

On Saturday night if you’re out west then there will be two big parties that you can check out. The first is the Dancehall queen competition that will be taking place inside the Fiyah Wata. This will feature the music of Tagg International and Belizean Movements.

The other spot jumping off on Saturday night in Cayo is Barrio Fino. They will be having a huge bash in celebration on DJ Brown Suga’s Birthday. This one has been titled ‘Sugar Rush’. DJ Busch, Jah Fyah and Cloud Nine will all be in attendance. There will be lots of giveaways including cash prizes.

Up in Corozal, you can check out ‘Oktober Fest’ happening inside Corozal Bay Inn. Ladies you can enter this party free before 11pm. The music will be provided by DJ Ben and DJ Eris.

Like I mentioned before, Monday is a holiday so I have a few Sunday night parties that you can check out. The first is going on way down south in Griga. They will be having a party called ‘Wet Up’ inside Club Malibu. There will be performances by the New Rebels. Crown Heights and Belizean Movements will be the DJs inside the spot.

Another party spot you can check out this Sunday is the Palm Island here in in the city. They will be having a party called Island Fantasy. So if you’re in the mood to party make head over.

I also have an event for you to look out for happening next week. On Thursday the Embassy of Mexico will be opening their exhibit called ‘Beyond the Border; A New Vision about Belize’. This art exhibit was previously shown in Chetumal and has now been brought to Belize. It will be shown at the Embassy of Mexico located on the New Town  Barracks.
