Should the delivery of supplies to hurricane victims be more expeditious?

The effects of Hurricane Richard are still being felt but many believe that NEMO’s hurricane preparedness plan is working. We put that question to our viewers and the response from those who polled, show that sixty-two percent have faith in NEMO while thirty-eight percent are not impressed. But tonight’s question is: Do you think that the delivery of supplies to hurricane victims should be more expeditious and less bureaucratic?

Sorry to say yes it is moving too slow the hurricane occured from Sunday some ppl especially those behind port and fabers road have yet to see any assistance. Lastnite a terrible downpour happened i know many ppl that their roofs were ripped off is bailing out water as we speak . Dont want to sound insensitive but they are only focusing on the Yabra area when many other places and ppl are in need of help.

LETS BE REALISTIC FOR A MOMENT, BUREAUCRACY WILL ALWAYS EXIST AS LONG AS POLITICIANS DO. HEY SOMEBODY’S GOT TO LOOK GOOD, RIGHT? WE WILL RARELY FIND DAT INDIVIDUAL WHO PUTS COMMUNITY BEFORE SELF. NOW I HAVE PERSONALLY SURVIVED A HURRICANE BUT PPL HAVE GOT TO BE PATIENT AND UNDERSTAND THAT EVERYTHING TAKES TIME TO COORDINATE, ITS NOT LIKE IF THE GOVERNMENT HAS EVER HAD A DISASTER PREPAREDNESS FUND. THEY JUST GO WITH THE FLOW AND IF A DISASTER OCCURS, THEY TAKE OUT MONEY OUT OF THIER EXISTING FUNDS. WOULDN’T IT BE GREAT IF A BELIZEAN GOVERNMENT ACTUALLY TOOK CARE OF THE PPL AND NOT OF THEIR POLITICAL PARTY. PATIENCE MY BELIZEANS BROTHERS AND SISTERS.
