Video captures horrifying images of robbery
There hasn’t been a murder in the city in a few days but the criminals are still at work. An armed robbery at a Taiwanese store was reported on Monday night and the owners say they believe the culprits were the same as those who attacked another supermarket in the same area less than a month ago. The attack happened at Seashore Store in the vicinity of the first roundabout on the Northern Highway just as our nightly news was airing at around seven o’clock. As the video shows, the thieves first held up the security guard outside the business and scared him inside the store. They followed behind and within a minute and fifteen seconds, the thieves had cleaned out the cash register and one of them pistol-whipped the cashier three times on her face and left hand before leaving. Here is a replay of the attack as it unfolded.

“Last night about like seven o’clock, three persons come rob the store. One lady get hurt and they ker about one thousand two hundred money. One guy come first and push the security in the back yard. Next two come in and start rob we.”

“Do you suspect that these guys robbed your friend’s store three weeks ago as well. The same three?
Voice of Proprietor
“Yeah the same three guys about like three weeks ago jacked by Jackie’s Supermarket.”

“What makes you think that it is the same three?”
Voice of Proprietor
“Because I see that TV same thing same face, same body. Everything look the same.”

“So you are offering a reward?”
Voice of Proprietor
“Yes. Anybody could see that, you call me or call police, they ketch the person I pay you one thousand dollars.”
The thieves got away with twelve hundred dollars and the store owner is offering a reward of a thousand dollars to anyone with information leading to the arrest and conviction of the thieves. If you can assist in the investigation, call 622-8868 or the police at 222-2222.
yesssss!!!!!! at least they had survelience video that somewhat shows the face of these criminals to better capture them!! and can’t believe that the perpetrators are children.
why has the black man turned to crime so much than other ethnics, it’s really a concern for the government to look into this matter, most killing black man most shooting blackman most assault and robbery blackman. So what has happened to this ethnic? we need to see the problem affecting our black community as to what has them carried away to an extend of such actions. just look at the news everyday and you’ll see blackman accused of something. Damn!! it’s really alarming as to what is happening daily in our country and the rate of crime rising with no hint of a gov. finding a solution to curb the crime.

Another group of lazy, hopeless @#$%^&*think they deserve easy money, think they have to steal, and batter people in the process so that they can gladly take what does not belong to them.
Unfortunately, the security guard did not get a chance to shoot these animals dead in their bloody tracks, maybe next time though.
raise the award, people might think twice to turn them in for the present price.
Belizeanpride, it is very sad indeed. I may be contraversial hear but its the truth. Most black youths in the city prefer to be out on the street than earn 20 or 25 dollars a day doing manual laber. They like bling but the easy way. Its a shame. I try to stay away from Belize City because so many of the on the streets hussling and if u no give dem small change, they attack you or rob you. A few times, I had to tell them “you are a healthy, youngman and strong man. How come you don’t work?” Once one got upset and set after me with an ice pic. I moved to the trunk of my car and opened it to get my matchete. He knew I had something so he backed off.
Its a sick situation and the excuse is that there are no jobs. Sorry but I disagree. All the foreigners come into our country and most of them work almost immediately. Be it for someone else or going around selling fruits or cleaning yards.
I think there needs to be a change in culture. Parents need to teach their children to work from a young age. But if parents don’t work, children learn from them. Children learn from observation. They mimic their parents behaviour. So if the father is a thief, they will become one too. If the father is hardworking, chances are that the child will also become a hard working person when they grow up.
If they end up in court, I bet Dickey Bradleys gets them off any charges by saying that the Video footage cannot be used as evidence, as it infringed their privacy rights, and transmitting them on public TV made them potential victims!
Shoots, they’ll probably sue the store because their feeling were hurt!

Iam black….I was dirt poor but I stayed in school…(well my parents at that time forced me to stay in school.. thanks ol man and ma)… I studied abroad (with a scholarship thanks to my effort in my studies)…became a professional;… NOW I have a nice house.. a lovely family … but some of my fellow brethren see me as a stranger because Iam not vulgar, nor agrressive.. nor lazy…. nor mistreat and abuse my children… nor beg…. nor show the “reverse racism syndrome”… what is right is right, what is wrong is wrong…..
