Island hopping suspect picked up in Caye Caulker for San Pedro murder

San Pedro police have taken into custody a suspect wanted in the vicious murder of Spanish flight attendant, thirty-seven year old Maria Plaza Gomez. The suspect, who was picked up in Caye Caulker, was transported to San Pedro a few minutes ago. Two other men who were detained following the brutal murder have since been released. One of those detainees, however, was later transferred to the Hattieville Prison because he is said to owe the court. Plaza Gomez went missing sometime after eleven o’clock on Sunday morning, less than half a mile from Corona del Mar Hotel where she was staying. The last account of her alive placed her making purchases at a fruit vendor in the company of a tall, stocky Caucasian man wearing long hair and carrying a backpack. He is the suspect picked up today.

Good work on the police side and also the citizens of Belize this is the cooperation that is needed to stop this type of crime in the country I have never seen this type of arrest record on the part of the Belize police force before three for three you guys are batting 100% as of Friday way to go now let’s hope that justice will prevail in this one and that this beast will serve the rest of his life locked up, he might just be a serial killer might be interesting to check with his country of residence if he is not a Belizean might help them solve some unsolved murders.
I think that Mr. Arnulfo Escobar should be given a citizen award for his bravery in stepping up to the plate and providing the information leading to the arrest of this suspect this would be a very good gesture and should encourage cooperation between the police department and the citizens and maybe the people in Belize city will follow suit and start speaking up when this type of crime happens so we can start putting these beasts where they belong.
Where is the picture channel 5 we need to see this beast, I know you guys not still using film cameras, I don’t think showing his picture would undermine the case in any way.

I am very proud of the police force and the rest that gave witness to the arrest of this CRIMINAL. This is what I have been saying, it doesn’t matter who the CULPRIT is, report it so they can be taken off the streets immediately, either the GOOD WAY OR BY STREET JUSTICE. AMEN
