Cop charged for carnal knowledge of 13 year old child
A thirteen year old minor has accused a man almost twice her age of sexual abuse. What’s even more disturbing that the accused is a police officer attached to the Punta Gorda Police Formation. The child is alleging that Thomas Gamboa had sex with her on September fifth, but the matter wasn’t reported until October twenty-fifth. PC Gamboa’s arrest came on the twenty seventh, two days after the incident was reported. Constable Gamboa, who is twenty-four years old, is on interdiction and receiving half his pay. He was arraigned for Carnal Knowledge, but because there was no objection from the DPP’s office, he was offered bail in the sum of five thousand dollars plus one surety of the same amount. Justice Adolph Lucas, however, laid down conditions, ordering the officer to appear before a magistrate in the Punta Gorda court every week until the adjournment of his case; and he is to stay out of trouble. If he fails to adhere to the conditions laid out in his bail, his freedom would be revoked.

The police are the ones that do the most !@$$ and get away with it, they know what to do and how to get away with it cause they know the ins and outs. More interesting is that most of the pup and udp ministers are lawyers and they get hired to defend the criminals. Point is that both governments are corrupt and support the criminals. belize would never get head way with the crime rate and belize would never ever see a minister behind bars. In the history of central america, belize is the only country that has not had a civil war, let us pray that we never experience one.
Police at it again, breaking the law he swore to uphold and against the people he swore to protect, there is no tolerance for such behavior by the police because when a civilian act this way they want to take legal action and sentence carried out on the spot.

I think this police officer face should be put on every TV station in Belize to let everybody see who this child molester is, other people could be trusting him with their children who and the same thing can happen to them……….if it were anybody else I AM SURE HIS FACE WOULD HAVE BEEN THERE FOR ALLL TO SEE!!!!!!
Interesting point regarding civil war in Belize. We might not have a recorded history of a civil war yet, however I honestly believe one is actually taking place as we speak. This very evident with the murder statistics reported daily in the news. In a small country such as Belize the numbers are alarmingly high. I love Belize, but crime is really out of hand and something needs to be done to put an end or reduce the violence in the streets. I am sickened by the corruption of the government officials we put in charge. Our police officers need training and be reminded of their duties to protect and serve. Our judicial system is weak and is failing horribly. There is no justice and the criminals know this very well. This country will have a great fall and it will not be pretty. Do something, you loyal officials.

These felonies should be jail time. These are serious criminal acts and i dont understand why they give bail on these types of charges. These are the types of laws that Government should be upgrading instead of the stupid ones they doing for their own benefits. These continuous actions of these pedophiles is inexcusable, especially by the ones we expect to uphold the law. The police continue to do be corrupted because they already know the law and mostly they know they get away from mostly everything. Can anyone tell me how in the world a person found with one bullet cannot get bail and goes to jail for two years and a person that commits a rape especially of a minor, gets bail. If it was anyone else they would have been remanded to prison . Our Justice system is not fair. Because he is a police his picture is not shown by the media and bail offered by the court. This is why Belize is sinking into the belly of hell.
well ceoncerned citizen is right. Why this officer is not being shown on media since he had been accused of a crime. Most likely when others being accused of the same crime which they release the picture in the media but yet this is a police officer which should be even more strict on the rule that he is a public officer and there are other people dont know and have no idea who is this officer. He can continue to do what he does while he is on bailed. But not to say that he did commit the crime.Cause really, not necessary that the young girl is not lying. There is a possibility. No one knows. But this is not really fair to both of the party as the accusor or the accused. Well there must be a balance and that if pictures will be posted for others, then there should be going across the board with anyone and everyone who has done similar situation.
Ideally, we should wait until he is convicted of the crime, then, not only should we show his photo on the news, but also place his photo, full name, and current address (after KOLBE) on a sex offender website. If there’s no such website in Belize as yet, then it’s high time we establish one, for ALL CONVICTED SEX OFFENDERS. I say this because there’s currently a convicted sex offender who apparently served his time, and he now lives three houses from a PRESCHOOL. How fair is that!
Oscar the criminal is the employer of the lawers. they took away millions from the police dept.to give to prison.they must make their employer happy. and politic is only their part time job.taking the criminal down south would be a waste.don’t put the hard working people in fear bye having the criminal in their area,
These men need to learn to keep their hands off these little girls cause they will pay the price. This little girl was no angel and did not lk nor act her age, hence these men think it is ok to fool with them and that’s where there wrong….keep you hands off these young girls despite how they act and what they look like

This type of thing is nothing new with police officers you can go to many of the villages and that’s all the cops do get involved with these little girls with absolutely no regard for the law, some of them believe that they are the law.
I am speaking about the dirty cops since I am sure that there are cops that would not get involve with this type of behavior and if there are any other cop that is offended by this, I would have to say that they are exactly the same type that I am talking about because I am speaking facts here and if the police department will ever improve its image with the citizens the good cops will really need to separate themselves from these dirty good for nothing cops.

Yes it is true, once he is convicted of the crime and then serve time. But most of the time in Belize things never follow up to the truth anyhow. the reason why they should have posted his photo is because he is like everyone else who is being accused of the same or similar offence. Cause they are not posting his picture because he is a police? Then if they were to do that then they should have done that across the board that as long as it is only accused and not until convicted then the potos will not be shown to the media at all. Why is he getting paid with taxpayers money ? This is one of the many things wrong with the Belizean government, if they knew that they can still provide for their family while they are awaiting trial.They have a dont care attitude. Suspend them without pay until the out come of the trial and then still try then by the department see how many of them will straighten up when they realize that there is no income or there will be no income coming into the home.

I wonder if you are guilty of the same and wish to defend your kind. I as a woman will never find sympathy for those who violate children. I am no saint but I don’t go around commiting crimes against anyone, so on these matters I feel I have the right to comment. Also to @ EMS…following Islamic Sharia is something I pray I never see happen in this country, however I think making these molesters get a viginoplasty a great idea for punishment. I figure if they love it so much that they willing to steal it from little girls then maybe we should give them their own.
