Three arrests in drug busts
Three persons are detained for separate drugs busts on the island of San Pedro. Around one this morning police conducted a search at the home of twenty-three year old Jermaine Jacobs and discovered a plastic bag with just over eight ounces of cannabis. Another five pounds of weed was found in a suitcase. Police have detained Jacobs pending charges.
Another bust on Wednesday netted a much smaller find. Caye cops detained nineteen year old Juana Sanchez and forty-five year old Elena Edwards when a search of their San Mateo residence turned up thirteen point two grams or just under half an ounce of crack cocaine. The drug was found in a bottle of Ovaltine.
