Roger Wagner acquitted of December 2008 murder of Griffith Green Jr.
A murder trial against Roger Wagner Junior ended with an acquittal in the Supreme Court today. Wagner was accused of shooting Griffith Green Junior on December twenty-eighth, 2008 and back then the main witness, Trevor Flowers, claimed he saw it all. But today Flowers told the court he didn’t see anything and alleged that he was pressured by a police officer. Flowers says he was locked up and his vehicle was impounded until he agreed to giving the statement. Without Flowers, prosecutor Yohhahnseh Cave had nothing else to go on. Wagner was initially charged with Attempted Murder, Use of Deadly Means of Harm and Dangerous Harm after Green was shot in front of Archie’s Store on Central American Boulevard. But Green succumbed to his injuries days later and the charges were upgraded to murder in early 2009. Wagner was also charged with Aggravated Assault for shots fired at Green’s friend, Wayne Rocke.
another clear case of witness intimidation this is so sick i hope this guy gets his due soon.
Sounds like another case of witness intimidation. Wagner, a conviction and jail may have been a better outcome, read the tea leaves, the streets are doing what the courts won’t.
until we can perform forensics and ballastics these degenerates will always be gettting off because all our court system does is rely on a witness testimony. The good thing about it is that in Belize we rely on justice to come about long after when someone else kills the killer. Belize is really not that bad compared to other countries but the frustration is insurmountable. “Revenge is a dish best served cold”.
We will continue to beg or hope that people have the balls to take justice in their own hands for their love one’s, the court system is rubbish, and when I don’t listen to so much that they have to say, I feel saner.
it is such a shame that dis police officer had 2 intimidate this guy WHEN he wasn’t even A WITNESS BCUZ HE DIDN’T EVEN SEE N E THING NOW ROGER WASTED 2 YRS IN BZE JAIL 4 NOTHING!!!!! JUS WRONG!!!! I’m d mother of Griffith’s baby son and I hold no judgement against Roger. yes, he was wrong to take someone’s life but that was d devils work n he is still working, so be ready for your turn. I love my son and with God’s guidance and strength he is the best thing that has happen in my life but a piece of the puzzle is missing. Griffith. RIP my love!!
Not sure how evidence is used in Belize but was the weapon ever recovered that was used to kill Griffith? or did the cops gave up on searching for the weapon and took the easy way out by beating a confession out of an alleged witness, were they able to match the weapon with a slug and did they tie this weapon to Wagner if so then that should be enough to convict him without the need for an eye witness.

first of all roger did not shot griffth,second of all griffth did not died from d gun shot he got on the 28 of december,he died because of d bullett plates that the doctor left in him from his previous gun shots. (note) this was not the first time griffth got shot.the witness (dr.estradaban) that was suppose to be at court was not there because he was the case was going to end on the day it started. police took 21 months out of roger’s life because griffth’s lawyer(mr.cave) couldnt find any evidences,so roger’s case couldnt start because the date was push back at least 10 times.all because (mr.cave) didnt want any zero’s on his record(failed case).
family, did you think this through before you wrote it. We cannot move ahead & turn this bleeding ship until we develop empathy & common sense. Don’t pour salt in the wound of the deceased victim’s family with nonsense that borders on gibberish.
I know for a FACT Roger is not innocent HE SHOT this guy!!
