Custom officer in missing medicine case released
Police are pressing ahead with investigations into the missing truckload of medicines that was destined for Guatemala last Wednesday and according to Police Press Officer, Clement Palacio, they are now processing the empty truck which was discovered near Camp Oakley in Burrel Boom on Friday.

“The owner has identified the truck as his and the investigation, as I mentioned, continues. It was found, I must add, with none of the contents inside.”

“It is impounded and it is in police custody. We are awaiting the investigation that is being done by the Customs Department. They are gonna give us their report and of course, the police will be involved in that as well.”
At news time police have released the customs officer who single-handedly cleared the shipment. The officer, Julio Martinez has, however, been suspended from duties until the investigations are completed.
