Four tourists robbed in Caye Caulker
Four tourists who came to enjoy a week of vacations in Belize, got a rude awakening this morning when a thief entered the cabin they were occupying. One of the tourists, who requested anonymity, told News Five this evening that the incident occurred at Ignacio Cabins near the airstrip at Caye Caulker. She said that at around four this morning, she was awakened by a noise and when she opened her eyes she discovered that a man had entered their cabin and was busily helping himself to their personal belongings, which included cameras, a bag containing an assortment of jewelry, cash, and a British passport. The items are valued at almost ten thousand dollars. The tourists, who are on a tour of Central America, are scheduled to leave Belize by tomorrow. Police have not made any arrests.
