Father and step father charged with Carnal Knowledge

Two minors have reported being sexually assaulted and threatened. The first is a sixteen year old from the Cayo District who visited police in the company of her mother. According to the teen, in May of this year she was at home when her step father had sex with her against her will. She says the forty-five year old man then threatened that if she told her mother anything, he would kill them both. Police have detained the step-father pending charges.

The other report came from a twelve year old resident of Toledo. The minor reported that on July third her father had sex with her and that he has done so on several occasions since then. The child further told police that her father also told her to be quiet about the abuse otherwise he would kill her. A medical examination certifies that the twelve year old has been carnally known. Police have detained the father pending charges of incest.
