Fake Cop questions GS-COM employees

Emmanuel Lopez

Remember Aaron Wilson? He was the man charged with impersonating a police officer. Wilson, no longer has the dishonor of being the only person to be called a fake cop.  This afternoon forty-five year old Emmanuel Lopez, a resident of Flamboyant Street Belize City pleaded guilty to Impersonating a Police Officer.  In addition to the guilty plea for impersonating a cop, Lopez also pleaded guilty to possession of a police notebook. His plea was not accepted and he was offered bail of seven hundred dollars, which he had not met this afternoon. In court Lopez claimed to have been a Special Constable who was allegedly trained in 2008. He said that during the training they were all given a police note book and he never handed in back his one. But the facts of the charge stated that on November eighteenth at about one p.m. Lopez visited GS COM on Baymen Avenue where he questioned to a female worker, who claimed he was recording everything in the police notebook.  The employee said she became suspicious of Lopez and that’s when she alerted her boss of his presence and the boss later called in the police to make checks on Lopez. Lopez said he didn’t record anything in the notebook and an equivocal not guilty plea was entered on his behalf. Magistrate Albert Hoare has set the trial date for this Wednesday.

Mr. Hoare, I hope you didn’t just snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. If he pled guilty, why cloud the issue & clog up the courts further. This boy just played you .

Whatever happened to the two idiots who impersonated officers in Orange Walk after Aaron Wilson was arrested?

  3. Sam Browne says:

Ha Ha that is funny, “became suspicious” writing in a police notebook would be a dead give away a “real” policeman is never that meticulous.

I think ‘fake cop Lopez’ watch too much Law and Order, he’s starting to think Belize police actually do their jobs that efficiently…. POLICE NOTEBOOK…Please…what a joke. Police don’t carry notebooks to actually write in them, they tell you go make a statement at the station or they just drag your @ss down to the station to force one out of you.
