Murder in Bella Vista Village
There is another murder to report tonight. Independence police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of fifty-six year old Honduran national Juan Cardona whose body was discovered with what appeared to be multiple chop wounds to the head and upper right side of the arm. At a little after six o’clock on Monday evening police responded to a scene in Bella Vista Village where they saw Cardona lying face down with several large gashes to his body. Cardona’s corpse was transported to the Southern Regional Hospital where it now awaits a post mortem examination. While no arrests have been made, Cardona is this year’s murder victim number one hundred and sixteen.
Also in the south, a post mortem conducted on the body of footballer, Thomas Swaso, was inconclusive even though the family believes that his death was caused by foul play. Swaso’s body was recovered from the banks of the Stann Creek River on Sunday.
Wow, 116 murders this year, with more than a month to go. What a shame for this beautiful country. It will never end until the people rise and end it for themselves.

This makes my job as a parent harder. It makes me scared and worried for my children who we look upon as our future. Whats is happening in our jewel by the sea? What have we come to? Our men are falling and our children are committing themselves, i say this because i am quite sure that the faces behind these crimes are those of our children.. Its time for us to wake up people and stand firm as one nation, the Bible says a life for a life, our country says human rights, what about the rights of the innocent ones that have fallen, the ones that we mourn daily. Listen one question, who gives the order to bring back corporal punishment
the ones who killed him will pay with blood and tears .their whole family will pay even the !@#$%^& cops who dont do anything
