Many contenders for Ambassador of Music
There are strong sentiments on whether or not Moshe Levi Ben David, also known as Shyne, should continue as the music ambassador of Belize. In response to that question, one viewer commented that Belize’s Ambassador of Music should have been given to another Belizean musician and there are many: Supa G, Poots, Aziatic, Lord Rhaburn, Daddy Tracy, Pupa Curley and Pen Cayetano, Mime etc.” The results of the poll show that ninety-one percent think he should not continue to hold the ambassadorial rank while nine percent agree he should.
I agree it should be given to a deserving Belizean. A person that was born, raised and has lived all his life in Belize. A person that has integrity and is an example to Belizeans and the world, no criminals please! There should be an independent committee that will interview and then recommend it to the PM.
I strongly believe that our Music Ambassador should be someone that lives in Belize and travels around the region or the world and represent Belize in a positive light.
Being assigned Music Ambassador to Belize was an end to a meas… Ambassador receive diplomatic passport which should have enbaled Jamal Barrow Entry into the US, however that plan backfired and he is only left with a task that he has no interest in seeing it materalized… Its a pity that Dean can’t be a man and remove his son from doing a task he has no interest in pursuing. Please Dean show some “common sense” and remove Jamal Barrow from being our Music Ambassador… the plan didn’t work. Come on.. What fi grass roots Belizean Artist noh ready for Diplomatic Passport and all the other perks.. hmmm
Jamall Barrow, shnye or whatever his name is- is getting on my last nerves. Barrow do Belizeans a favor and move him from there. He is worst that thiefing Castro.
He failed to get a diplomatic passport and access to the US, so he’s now living in Isreal, converted to Judiasm (Or whater is practised over there). Isreal is a very close Ally to the US, so it’s just a matter of time before he gets an Isreali passport (In his current Jewish name), and an entry Visa, sponsored by the Isreali government.
The we’ll see him on BET, using his original stage name, and he’ll never come back to Belize. yet, while Mr. Barrow is the crime minister, he will retain his musical ambassador status. After all, in the PM’s words – His 2 albums wil put Belize in the limelight on the international stage…. Lord knows how he worked that out, but politricks is all spin & thieving!!!
I do agree with all the above mentioned, this guy is not a grass root Belizean and I do believe he was given this position in the hopes of him getting back in the states. He doesn’t care, he doesn’t want it, he’s a criminal and more so what kind of a role model is this guy for our country & our kids
All the above comments sound good, except about INDEPENDENT COMMITTEE taking it to the CRIMEMINISTER FOR APPROVAL because is answer will be NO.
How can he be even considered or given a position that he does even know about?? Belizean music is from people who’ve lived in it and know the struggle is hard and that is what makes are music so great.Because we can express ourself’s through it, that’s why I like mr.Peter’s,other old musicians, also the great Ras Indio is a great modern belizean artist unlike those idiot Burn and mr. Program who have been deported and now wanna call themselves Belizean!!! true belizean artist start from home and get expose to the world not the other way,where they live here for a small while and then go aboard to only be deported and come back and call themselves Belizean!!!!! Stay true Real Bealizean Artist Who Fight Ya Fu Survive And Be Known!!!!
