City man threatened and called snitch, businessman lost finger

Twenty-five year old Austin Stevens of Jane Usher Boulevard has reported that his life was threatened by two men who called him a snitch. Police say they are investigating the incident which occurred on Friday when Stevens was on his way home and was confronted by two armed men, identified as Kevin Hendy and Keith Middleton. The two men, according to Stevens, pulled up next to his vehicle in a blue and green truck. Stevens says Hendy walked towards the driver’s side while Middleton made his way to the front passenger door of the vehicle. Hendy, claims Stevens, pointed his firearm at him threatening to kill him calling him a snitch. Both men then attempted to break the rear glass window of his vehicle and Stevens took the opportunity to escape, speeding off to his home. He was trailed by the two men and along with his brother, Stevens saw the truck approaching from the Central American Boulevard direction. When the truck stopped, Stevens says he heard Hendy shout ‘‘I wah kill you and your bredda cause unu da informer’’. Both Hendy and Middleton exited the vehicle brandishing their firearms walked a distance away from them. Middleton then cranked his firearm and got into the vehicle and headed towards the Stevens brothers, but the brothers took cover in their mother’s yard. The two armed men drove off in their pickup truck.

A businessman from Spanish Lookout, Martin Wall was not as lucky. Wall had one of his fingers amputated by brazen thieves who ambushed and assaulted him at his home at around ten-thirty on Friday night. Wall reports to police that upon arriving home he spotted a grey four door car parked in front of his house. When he exited his vehicle he was ambushed by three armed masked men. The perpetrators grabbed Wall and escorted him inside the already ransacked house where Wall’s twelve year old son, Michael, was tied up. The masked men made away with a still undisclosed amount of money after cutting off Wall’s finger. Wall was transported and treated at the Belmopan Hospital. Police are conducting an intensive investigation and are asking for the help of the public in providing information to solve this brazen crime.
