Belizeans appear in court in Chetumal
In an update to the ongoing saga of three Belizean guards and the owner of the Las Vegas casino, Channel ten of Chetumal today reported that the four were taken to the district court this afternoon where they were arraigned for Smuggling Arms into Mexico and Premeditated Murder. As the images show, the men were under heavy police escort when they were whisked away to court.
The incident occurred on Sunday night at the Las Vegas casino located at the Belize side of the border with Mexico. The three Belizean security guards Martin Miller, Curlin Thompson and David Gomez and their employer George Hardie Jr. allegedly violated Mexican laws when they illegally introduced weapons into Mexico in a hot pursuit of casino patrons Edwin and Luis Navarro. In the shootout, Edwin was injured.
