Opposition leader explains reason for additional deputy leader
Briceño also explained why last week he offered his former contender, Francis Fonseca, the position as fourth deputy party leader.
John Briceño
“Francis Fonseca has a lot to offer to the party, he has worked very hard for the party. He did an excellent job as a Minister of Education—has been one of the best Ministers of Education—and he has a lot to contribute. He and I ran for the leadership of this party. He got about three hundred delegates that supported him. It is important for us to give the signal to show to the rest of the party that we are uniting and that Francis Fonseca is welcome and that we want to work together, that we a common good, a common goal. It is a unity of purpose.”
