14 year old high school student murdered in old capital
Two young students were shot yesterday and less than twenty-four hours later, the body of a fourteen year old student was found on Magazine Road. The victim was identified hours by his mother right after she had filed a missing person report. Dylan Ayuso was beaten to the head and left dead in a pool of his blood. The venue for the cruel homicide was the abandoned building that was once the Venus Bus Terminal on Magazine Road. The site is now used by the Traffic Department for the inspection of vehicles.

“Bout quarter to nine, the police came cross here and told me if I could go and witness a body—if I know him. I went over there; I observed a body lying on the floor with a pool of blood by his head. I told the police first time I see that person, never see him round here yet.”

“In your opinion was it a young person because I’m understanding that it was a teenager?”

“By my observation I think he is about thirteen, fourteen.”
Ayuso’s brother, Doyle, says Dylan was a good person.

“When was the last time that you guys saw him and what was he doing?”

“Last time I si ah dah bout five-thirty yesterday evening. Ih mi di heng out wid my next bredda nowhere far from me. Dat dah di last time I si ah.”

“Is he known to have been in gangs or anything of that sort because a statement was made today that they believe that maybe it was gang related or something of that sort.”

“Well, not to my knowledge but I know ih heng out wid people who eena gang.”
But who could have killed the fourteen year old student? Police say that there are no suspects or leads, but the murder weapon was found next to the body.

“Police have no suspects at this time, but of course they are following up on certain leads that they had. At this time, we cannot say they are any definitive suspects in this.”

“Who discovered the body and how long was it there?”
Clement Palacio
“Police. We suspect that it was there from some time last night, but we don’t wish to go into source of the information. A piece of lumber, two by four, was found near the body as well and of course he was observed with multiple injuries to the head.”
The post mortem examination revealed that Ayuso died from manual strangulation and brain hemorrhage due to head trauma. Duane Moody, reporting for News Five.
Police believe that the homicide was a result of a gang initiation.
