Businessman & minor attempted suppression of evidence
A most twisted and unusual case came up today before Magistrate Dorothy Flowers. Businessman Albert Flowers and the sixteen year old nephew of Tony Chamas were arraigned for Attempted Suppression of Evidence. That’s because Flowers’ sixteen year old son is facing charges for allegedly robbing Chamas. And as strange as it seems, Chamas’ teenaged nephew went along with Flowers to try and convince him to drop the charges. Flowers claims he simply wanted to speak to Chamas to explain that his son was not the person who committed the robbery. He says they went to the police station to clear up the matter, but they were misunderstood and ended up being charged. Both Flowers and Chamas’ son were offered bail of one thousand dollars each and they are due back in court next January. As for the robbery charge against Flowers’ son, well that still stands and he will have his day court when the matter goes to trial.
As Redd Foxx put it, if you want to know where ugly children come from, follow them home. There is no question why the child is screwing up, his parent(s) don’t mind a little witness intimidation or coercion. Papa, pay the fine, do the time & allow your child to do the same, if he faces the consequences now, you can avoid being the next parent on TV crying after someone hit their target or if you are lucky, visiting the jail for the rest of your life lying to yourself that he was set up.
