Prime Minister afflicted with dengue
And Prime Minister Dean Barrow returned to Belize on Monday from Florida, where he was seeking medical attention for a back problem he has been experiencing for years. Fifteen years ago, the PM had surgery but over the years, the condition has persisted. Today, the PM’s office informed that the regular sitting of Cabinet had been cancelled because of the PM’s health. Aside from the prognosis on his back, the PM is now afflicted by the dengue fever and as such he will be out of office for another week. This is the longest period Barrow will be away from his desk.
