Ronald Richard Bradley charged for attack and murder of prison officer
A man believed to have been involved in the attack on three prison officers on October fifteenth was arraigned this morning in court. The three victims, Miriam Gillett, Ernest Savery and Silvano Cal were heading home in a taxi when a hail of gunfire was unleashed at them. The bullet riddled vehicle slammed into a lamppost ten feet off the highway. Savery and Cal were critically wounded and bleeding profusely, while Gillett, who received a bullet to the head, died on the spot. Police detained nineteen year old Ronald Richard Bradley, who now faces a slew of charges; Murder, Use of Deadly Means of Harm upon Cal and Savery, Grievous Harm upon Cal, Dangerous Harm upon Savery, and Attempted Murder of Cal and Savery. It is believed that Savery, a former inmate at the Central Prison, was the intended target while Cal and Gillett were simply in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Bradley was also charged with Robbery for allegedly accosting Glen Lamb, along with an accomplice, and relieving him of a cell phone, a pair of gold earrings and three hundred dollars in cash on November fifth. He was later pinpointed in a police ID parade. Bradley is to return to court on the last day of this year.
wat shall we do with u? eye for an eye an tooth for a tooth? maybe! expect the unexpected. i told u that you will come in our big house
crimes in Belize would never stop. The reasons why I say this is because growing up in my country Belize was very hard to deal with. Going to school with my friends we used to see died bodies on side of the road this right next to the school. This was in the eighties, so tell me which goverment is going to control crimes, it tell us the people of Belize that neither parties can do nothing about crimes. I move from Belize in ninty five I live in a city that is crime free I rally hear about crimes. I live t
Phe state of North Carolina. What the both parties need to do is reforme the crimes policies. In other words if any one communicates any kind of threats this individual should face a prison terms. What this does it send a message to everyone that both parties will not tolerate any kind of crimes at a. Just remember that the goverment represent the peoples.
The goverment of Belize need to do what ever it takes to fight crimes. I not tying these words just for fun I am upset because I want to take my kids to Belize to let them know this country of thier
father. But sorry to say that I would not be able take them until I
hear that my country is crimes free.
I think every body of goverment needs to have at least a two year associate degree in any kind of professional degree or try to work on a degree . Of course education is the main problem in Belize ahigh schools level is nothing compared to the level of education here this state .
The reason why I this is because I had to go back to high school to get high school diploma. Now I working on getting my basic law enforcement training then later in the future i will.be working on four year degree in criminal justice then that went I going to decide if I need to go back home.
I would like to put criminals like these in prison for life. You should never never point a gun to a policemen or an person at all this how upset at goverment of Belize.
Dah bwai wah tek wah likin back deh…ah no wah inna fi he shoes fi nothing
happy…………DOES IT LOOK LIKE THE GOVERNMENT WANTS TO DO ANYTHING SERIOUS ABOUT CRIME????????????????????
SEND Mr. Bradley to the PRISON FARM TOO.
A YOUNG MAN LIKE THAT…………………….. COULD BE VERY PRODUCTIVE FOR THE REST OF HIS LIFE AS HE REPAYS HE DEBT TO SOCIETY.
WE NEED A PRISON FARM…….. HARD LABOUR……… THEY EARN THEIR KEEP AND PROVIDE FOR SOCIETY.
Ok first of all it’s not only the governments fault its the parents… u cant blame someones wrong on the account of the government, and yes the government can do something about the hedeous crimes thats been taking place. But see this young man has not paid any dues yet and didnt know what he is getting into …. He will pay for what he has done wrong not only with spending the time but walkn into the lions play pen
As we come near the end of this year, I cannot help but to wonder how many more of Belize finest will be slain by the city’s worst.
I thoroughly disagree with what Happy is saying. The education in Belize is comparable to any .Just look at the CXC passess especially this year. Please I grew up an still live in Belize.I cannot recall walking pass dead bodies anywhere like flies on the street.
Yes we are beset by violence caused by the same persons who have deported from the country where he resides.America is just as violent except Belize is sma;ller so its highly magnified.Check out Oakland and Richmond California. Please murder cities of the USA
Save d tax payer some money drop this clown behind enemy line
I want to believe in redemption & the ability of human beings to change but a 19 year old who is this vicious is worse than a rabid dog. Baby boy, I think they will have to put you to sleep & have your relatives ask for an investigation, get one seven years later & reach no conclusion & I hope Miss Gillett’s relatives & those you harmed will not fear your thug friends coming after them when they remind us why you needed to die.
SEND Mr. Bradley to the PRISON FARM TOO.
A YOUNG MAN LIKE THAT…………………….. COULD BE VERY PRODUCTIVE FOR THE REST OF HIS LIFE AS HE REPAYS HE DEBT TO SOCIETY.
I remember watching an episode of the Twilight Zone series; in this episode they had this special place where parents can pay big money to go live in this ‘community’ and their troubled child goes through a series of rehabilitation attempts.
At the end of the episode it was realized that the family that the episode focused on, that moved there, their daughter was simply deemed a useless waste of a human being and was ‘processed’; what was startling is that when it faded from black they had a ceremony in this park where a small tree was planting and upon zooming in the sign said that this young lady (can’t remember the name) was turned to fertilizer and will now serve a positive purpose to the human race and that is making a tree grow and give produce oxygen to mother earth.
This young man deserves just that faith, processed and turned to fertilizer and that way he will do good for the human race.
Happy are you kidding; I would go to a Belize school (and I have) before I set foot in an American school to be properly brainwashed by garbage.
No offense, but it is quite obvious that your schooling in the US was not to effective, because it seems you can hardly put a proper statement together; no offense bro just pointing what is there.
Happy, what they putting in your coffee mate? You talk about Belize like the entire country is just bullets whizzing by from north to south and east to west, like everyone is just riding, walking, driving around with guns ablazing.
You are considered; a perfectly programmed sheeple; you live in a country where on Nancy Grace alone shows, every single day, some sick phuk kidnaps and kills a child; you live in a country where someone who didn’t get his breakfast cook right by his wife simply loses it and shoots up the entire family and the neighbors; you live in a country where someone gets fired and goes back to their workplace and just blast everyone away; you live in a country where kids watch violent movies and play video games and then goes to a school and plays target practice with his schoolmates…you live in a country where over 30,000 people die by gun violent every single year.
Bottom line is to me statistics means crap; murder is murder, rape is rape, robbery is robbery, crime is freaking crime and criminals simply need to go to a prison farm or turn to fertilizer.
Happy in North Carolina, there is no such thing as a crime free community. Last month a woman was murdered in Beverly Hills, one of the wealthiest communities in the US. Stop sounding like a lunatic or no police department will risk hiring you. None of us who went to school in Belize City had to walk by dead bodies in the streets. I believe you saw a murder victim but we did not have bodies lying in the streets, then or now & as someone who grew up in Belize, I know that we are spectators, we will run to witness a fight, we will run behind the fire truck & stare at fires & we will stand & look at a funeral procession & point to everyone we know & talk about them.
While our schools can use some work, I, like many Belizeans were able to walk into college classes in the states, test out of many & kick arse. While some of our schools are failing, I do not believe that most are & I can assure that most of us did not have parents who could help us with our homework or enhance what we learned in school.
Almost all of our elected official have advanced degrees, our PM is an attorney, so is Elrington, so was our former PM & I believe Esquivel had a doctorate. Briceno, the leader of the opposition also has at minimum a bachelors. A degree may provide the know how but our politicians are not suffering from a lack of education, they have no vision & too many are just plain greedy & have made pacts with the devils who are terrorizing our streets by being in bed with their bosses. Every generation, every party has a Lindy Rogers, you can decide which ones fit that bill, just remember, they may bring much needed common sense into the room.
Please give the boy a chance to prove his innocent.. where is the evidences he is guilty? the Innocents are always the one to get can’t and put behind bars for a crime he did’nt commit… this boy is still behind bars over 5 yrs waiting for a hearing. If he was guilty he would have already been charge.
